Having someone stand up at their grace and rock it backwards and forwards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Quite rightly, this needs to be stopped. All these health and safety laws that people come up with, this isn&#8217;t health and safety &#8211; it&#8217;s demolition.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Her sister, Ms Waite, 74, added: &#8216;When I spoke to the lady at the council that is overseeing the health and safety at the cemetery, she told me &#8216;when I started to wobble one, I just couldn&#8217;t stop&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;There has been no respect for the families of those laid here.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We feel like we have relived the grief of the days we laid them both to rest. In some cases, the bases were still in the ground and workmen had wrenched off the plaques, breaking the corners off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Scarborough Borough Council bosses were accused of ignoring families, who only found out what had happened when they arrived to lay flowers or read about it on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Dawn Jordan, 52, from Scarborough, only learned the headstone commemorating her mother, Bridie Jordan, 61, who died in 2003, sister Karen Jordan, who died aged 36 in 2000, and another loved one buried in the same plot, had been uprooted when she saw the rows of flattened headstones on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8216;I was gutted. It is not very nice seeing your loved ones&#8217; memorial pushed over.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I just think it&#8217;s disgusting that they can just push these over without consulting anyone.
