<\/p>\nTWO girls have been arrested over a shocking street attack on an Orthodox Jewish woman – as cops probe the "possible hate crime".<\/p>\n
The victim, 20, was approached\u00a0on Rostrevor Avenue in Tottenham, North London, at around 4.30pm on December 7.<\/p>\n
\n<\/p>\n
The girls, aged 13 and 14, then assaulted the woman and stole her handbag.<\/p>\n
The victim suffered bruising but didn't require hospital treatment.<\/p>\n
Extensive enquiries have been carried out since the incident to identify the suspects, the Met Police said.<\/p>\n
CCTV images were captured near to the scene which suggested they were wearing school uniform.<\/p>\n
Cops arrested two girls on suspicion of robbery at an address in Haringey on December 9.<\/p>\n They both remain in custody.<\/p>\n Detective Sergeant Asli Benson, who has led the investigation, said:\u00a0"This was a terrifying incident for the young woman who was attacked.
