Emirates stadium snub
The United Kingdom and Ireland have won their bid to host the 2028 Euros.
But some fans have raised questions over why some of the most famous venues in English football have been rejected from hosting matches in the esteemed tournament.
Anfield and Stamford Bridge are missing out due to the fact that their respective pitch sizes do not meet UEFA criteria for international tournaments.
Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Emirates was rejected in place of Tottenham’s brand new arena as the capital’s chosen site along with Wembley.
Manchester United’s iconic Old Trafford will not be included after the owners discussed plans to renovate the stadium in the off-season with the FA.
The Glazers have yet to conclude their strategic review as they wrangle over the sale of the club to either Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani or Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Gary Neville's new prediction
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has made a U-turn on his season prediction after his former club's sluggish start.
I don’t think Manchester United will finish in the top five this season.
I think they are way off it. And I’m surprised because seven or eight weeks ago, I had them third.
But honestly from what I see at the moment, I don’t think the goalkeeper is settled in, I think he should have saved the one yesterday so that is a problem.
If your goalkeeper is not settled in and there is a bit of instability around that, it does create a big problem. I’ve had that at United. So United, not for me.

McTominay feared Sir Alex
Manchester United ace Scott McTominay previously admitted he was terrified of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Sir Alex. Yeah, whenever we saw him in the canteen, he would just say, 'Are you behaving yourself?'
You'd just be quiet. You'd never know what to say.
Especially with him being from Scotland, I think it was special, and he invited us up whenever I signed my scholarship with all the players in the dressing room, it was a Fulham game in the Premier League.

Man Utd target Benfica ace
Manchester United are keeping tabs on Benfica star Joao Neves ahead of the January transfer window, reports SunSport's Steve Brenner.
United manager Erik ten Hag has already sent his scouts to watch Neves.
The 19-year-old has been one of Benfica's stand out performers this season and is a regular starter for manager Roger Schmidt's reigning champs.
The Portugal international, whose career is guided by Cristiano Ronaldo's super-agent Jorge Mendes, has taken over in midfield from Enzo Fernandez following his move to Chelsea.
Neves recently signed a new deal with Benfica which runs through to 2028 and has a release clause of £103million.

Beckam gave his backing to Sheikh Jassim’s efforts at the Qatar Grand Prix on Saturday.
According to TalkSPORT, Becks will be offered an ambassadorial role should the Qatari bidder replaces the Glazers.

Taking the Mc
Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has slammed manager Erik ten Hag's comment on Scott McTominay after he saved the team against Brentford.
Ten Hag said: "Every player has a price but he has a big value, sporting and also economic. I want to have a player like Scott McTominay in the squad. He is Manchester United in every faith.
"Every minute he will fight for the match. He is Manchester United in everything in his heart. When you are coming on and giving this to the team it tells a lot.”
Schmeichel responded: "He’s got the ability to do that. I don’t understand what coaches are doing. Scott McTominay was up for sale all summer and I don’t understand that.
"He’s a fantastic player, you need utility players. You need players that can play different positions, that can come from the bench and change the course of the game and he’s definitely one of them.
"You bring in players and you sit there with big question marks, why is that player there?."

Roo the day
Former Premier League ace Chris Sutton is not convinced that Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will be the best managerial appointment for Birmingham.
Why would you get rid of someone who's successful?
It's not like – with respect to Wayne Rooney, great playing career – they're bringing in a world beater of a manager.
He's still a rookie in managerial terms, isn't he? On the face of it, it does seem like madness to sack John Eustace when the club are doing well.
And essentially, what does it do? It puts a hell of a lot more pressure on the owners making that decision.

Gaz's mega pay day
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has rented out the whole of his five star Stock Exchange Hotel.
That is according to SunSport's Simon Boyle.
Madonna has booked the entire place while she rehearses for her forthcoming tour.
And given that the hotel is a huge gaff, which Neville owns a substantial stake in alongside his old team-mate Ryan Giggs, that sounds like a hefty pay day.

Hail Mary Earps
Nike finally released Manchester United ace Mary Earps' England shirts on Monday – only for them to sell out in a matter of hours.
Earps was left "hugely disappointed" ahead of this summer's Women's World Cup after the sportswear company failed to put any goalkeeper shirts on sale.
The 30-year-old also revealed that she had been "fighting behind closed doors" and "trying to go through the correct channels" in a bid to find a solution.
Nike initially decided against selling the jerseys, but they made a U-turn in August and announced that a limited quantity would be released.
And on Monday morning, exactly 50 days after the World Cup final, the shirts were finally put on sale.

Wayne Rooney Exclusive
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney will pocket three times the salary of his predecessor John Eustace if he becomes Birmingham's new boss, reports SunSport's Graeme Bryce.
The Championship outfit are ready to offer Rooney £1.5million-a-year to take over from Eustace, who was sacked on Sunday.
SunSport understands the Blues' former head coach's £9,000-a-week wages will be dwarfed by United's record goalscorer.
The ex-DC United manager has been offered closer to £29,000-a-week to front the club's promotion push.
Rooney has been told the Birmingham job is his if he wants it and he has been offered more than the £23,653-a-week salary he commanded at the MLS.

Neville makes U-turn
Gary Neville has made a U-turn on his season prediction for Manchester United after their sluggish start.
The former defender has now predicted that Erik ten Hag’s men will not come close to finishing in the top five this season.
United’s poor performances have left him tracking back on his words after pledging at the start of the season that the Red Devils would make the top three.
“I think they are way off it. And I’m surprised because seven or eight weeks ago, I had them third.
“But honestly from what I see at the moment, I don’t think the goalkeeper is settled in, I think he should have saved the one yesterday so that is a problem.

Juventus to offer Sancho a lifeline
Phil Thomas of SunSport reports that Jadon Sancho will be offered a chance to revive his career by Serie A giants Juventus.
Juve could move for Sancho in January after Erik Ten Hag exiled the winger from his squad.
But the Bianconeri will only sanction the move if United agree to still pay HALF of the winger’s £375,000-a-week wages.
Juve are willing to offer a loan with an option to buy for as much as £60million next summer.
