Amir Khan reveals talks with boxing legend over stunning comeback fight just one year after retiring | The Sun

AMIR KHAN has revealed he is in talks over a stunning boxing comeback one year after retiring.

The former world champion ended his career in May 2022, three months after his technical knockout loss to Kell Brook.

However, he has now teased a potential bout with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

Khan told the Daily Mail: "You’ve been hearing rumours Manny Pacquiao is in town. We are in talks.

"We’ve spoken a few times and that fight could happen. There’s a lot of interest in that fight between Manny Pacquiao and myself.

"Manny is in town so this is where me and him will have a sit down. If it happens (the fight) here or somewhere else it would be great.

Eddie Hearn 'reveals' staggering Tommy Fury earnings despite being 'terrible'

"If I fight Manny Pacquiao I think it will be a brilliant fight. I’ve always looked up to him and we know each other quite well."

Like Khan, Pacquiao has hinted at a return to the ring, declaring his interest in fighting for The Philippines at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The 44-year-old's last professional bout came in 2021 as he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Yordenis Ugas to surrender his WBA super welterweight title.

PacMan is considered by many to be one of the greatest boxers of all-time, having been an eight-division world champion during his career.
