Since the release of her breakout single “Don’t Play with It” in 2021, the music space has had its eyes on Lola Brooke as one of the next-up woman rappers – hailing from none other than Brooklyn, New York. Now the Bed-Stuy native has officially dropped her debut project Dennis Daughter.
Over the past few years, Lola Brooke has been heating up – performing at festival stages alongside dropping a roster of collaborative tracks. But with Dennis Daughter, fans are finally getting a closer look at the rapper’s talent and the sound she’s building. With 12 tracks lining the project, Dennis Daughter features the likes of Coi Leray, Nija, French Montana, Bryson Tiller, Latto and Yung Miami.
Aside from the previously released “Don’t Play with It” remix featuring Latto and Yung Miami and “You” featuring Bryson Tiller, the rest of the tracks are entirely new and pack a robustly New York rap sound. Just take a listen to “It’s Me Again” and you’ll see. Alongside the release of the project, Lola Brooke has also dropped a music video for “Don’t Get Me Started” with Coi Leray and Nija.
