Sexy model rakes in £9,000 a month from pics – but all isnt as it seems

A sexy Spanish beauty has taken the modelling industry by storm with her sultry snaps.

Aitana López, from Barcelona, has reportedly secured advertising deals worth more than $1,000 (£800) per Instagram post, and has more than 170,000 online followers.

The stunner's Instagram feed shows her posing in lavish outfits from brands including Guess, Brandy Melville, and Victoria's Secret. And the pink-haired beauty claims brand Olaplex is behind her vibrant locks.

However, the 25-year-old isn't a normal model – and has in fact been created using artificial intelligence (AI).

Aitana has been created by 'modelling agency' The Clueless, which reportedly doesn't seem to employ any actual human models. According to Clueless founder Rubén Cruz, the agency created Aitana to 'overcome the obstacle of human talent'.

"We started analysing how we were working and realised that many projects were being put on hold or cancelled due to problems beyond our control," he told Euronews. "Often it was the fault of the influencer or model and not due to design issues."

To get around this, Cruz and his team created Aitana, an AI-based model who doesn't eat or sleep, and doesn't require healthcare and a pension fund. He says companies know they're paying for a virtual influencer when they book Aitana.

In fact, Cruz and Clueless said that's part of her appeal, as brands can save time and money by hiring her over a real human model. Rather than going through photoshoot, all Aitana requires is a couple of people at a computer working on a generative AI program and Photoshop.

"We did it so that we could make a better living and not be dependent on other people who have egos, who have manias, or who just want to make a lot of money by posing," said Cruz.

Fans seem to love Aitana too, judging by some of the comments on her recent snaps. "You look just amazing, have a lovely weekend," gushed one follower, while another branded her "so pretty". A third also told her she had "incredible beauty".

However, another mocked her fans, as they wrote: "All these men lusting for an AI model."

Aitana's creation comes after clothing brands like Levi's announced plans earlier this year to 'supplement' their casts of human fashion models with AI ones. Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein have also announced similar plans.
