An American teenage bodybuilder has surpassed a record set by Arnold Schwarzenegger nearly 57 years after the Austrian made a name for himself.

Anton Ratushnyi beat out Arnie’s record by becoming the world’s youngest professional bodybuilder at just 19-years-old.

Ratushnyi won the NPC national division title last weekend – giving the youngster his ‘pro card’ as he earned the title of youngest Classic Physique professional.

In his victory post to social media the teenage superstar said: ‘With overcoming lots of adversity over the last year, I can’t stress enough how important it is to believe in yourself and stay true to yourself no matter what others think of you.

‘I’m so glad that I decided to pursue my true passion and didn’t let negativity get to me.

19-year-old Anton Ratushnyi has officially become the world’s youngest pro bodybuilder

He’s grown an impressive social media following – with Insta covered in flexing and bulking

He’s already broke the record for youngest pro bodybuilder – held by Arnold Schwarzenegger

‘I took the risk to prep again and challenge myself mentally, physically, and emotionally to not just succeed in bodybuilding but grow as a person that would be worthy of inspiring this new generation.’

Wrapping the post up, he proclaimed: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, this is your new youngest IFBB Classic Pro, and the overall champion at NPC Nationals 2023.’

Ratushnyi hasn’t received much media attention in his sport – staying relatively unknown despite his success.

He’s been training for moments like this for four years of hard work to try and build his body up as best as possible.

That’s seen him grow a social media following – sitting now with 205,000 followers on Instagram, with plenty of flexing all over his page.

There have already been calls for the 19-year-old to compete in next year’s Mr. Olympia tournament – including from Chris Bumstead, who has won the last five titles in the Classic Physique category.
