David McCallum, NCIS and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. star, died on Monday aged 90, sparking an outpouring of grief from his fans and co-stars from the CBS show.
Actors Wilmer Valderrama and Michael Weatherly were among some of the well-known names paying tribute to the late “legend” on social media.
Valderrama took to Instagram to upload a throwback still of the pair in NCIS as he penned a heartfelt caption praising McCallum’s “professionalism”.
He wrote: “David, what an immense honor it was to share the screen with you.
“Your professionalism and ability to effortlessly take every one of us on a journey through your art will be felt forever.

“I will miss you my friend [sic],” Valderrama, who plays NCIS Special Agent Nicholas Torres, concluded.
Anthony DiNozzo star Weatherly shared a message with his 460,400 followers on Twitter, where he branded McCallum a “funny fantastic authentic man.”
Sharing a video of an autographed and framed photo, Weatherly said: “David McCallum made every moment count, in life and on set.
“Let’s raise a jug and celebrate a funny fantastic authentic man. I’ve only got 3 autographs. Connery, Tony Bennett and McCallum.
“I felt the same way as Steve McQueen in this picture from The Great Escape: Wow! It’s David McCallum!

Emily Wickersham, who is best known for her role as NCIS Special Agent Eleanor Bishop, uploaded a still from the show to her Instagram account as she remembered “true legend” McCallum.
She typed: “Had the pleasure of working with David for many years and he was the utmost professional and a true legend.
“I will miss you David. Sending my love to you family,” Wickersham signed off alongside a red heart emoji.
McCallum left NCIS earlier this year after making a small appearance in season 20.
