Global superstar Taylor Swift has announced that The Eras Tour concert film will be available on demand beginning on her birthday, December 13. The streaming version will include songs from the tour not included in the movie’s theatrical release.
“Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” Swift wrote on her social media accounts.
She added, “Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”
The announcement came the morning after Swift performed the final date of her tour for 2023 Sunday night in Brazil.
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour was produced by Swift and directed by Sam Wrench. The concert film documents the Eras Tour, Swift’s 2023-2024 concert tour in support of her discography. Swift struck an unprecedented distribution agreement directly with AMC Theatres, rather than with a traditional major film studio.
The film premiered at The Grove in Los Angeles on October 11, 2023, and was released to theaters worldwide on October 13. It was met with significant ticket demand, amassing a record $37 million on its first day of pre-sales in the U.S. and over $100 million in total global pre-sales.
The Eras Tour has become the highest-grossing concert film of all-time, making $250 million worldwide.
