Kieran Tierney has named his favourite bosses… and left Arsenal's Mikel Arteta off his list.

He said: "Every manager who I have played for, I am so grateful. You look at the start, it would be Ronny Deila. He gave me my debut, so how can you look past that?

"Every one of the managers who I have played for, they are special for different reasons. Steve Clarke for his loyalty and for picking me last season when I wasnā€™t playing so often and coming on as a sub.

"He is important to me and I will be forever grateful for that.ā€

Saliba has long way to go

Arsenal star William Saliba needs to improve even more, according to Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly.

I wouldn't say Saliba is the best in the world yet. I believe that Dayot Upamecano and Virgil Van Dijk are above Saliba, even though Van Dijk has dropped a little bit.

We do, however, need to give Saliba time. He only arrived two years ago and, back then, nobody knew his name.

He was never mentioned! Let's allow him to exercise and practice his craft at the highest level.

    Maddison "better" than Odegaard

Tottenham star James Maddison is better than Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, according to Spurs hero Jermaine Jenas.

I was having this argument recently with an Arsenal fan, not even an argument just a discussion about Odegaard and James Maddison, and the guy was like, ā€˜You would always take Odegaard over Maddisonā€™, and I was like, ā€˜Whyā€™.

Iā€™m not convinced by it personally. Odegaard is a special talent, so is James Maddison, but itā€™s about how heā€™s transformed a team on his own.

Thatā€™s the biggest fear for Spurs, his fitness and maintaining that all year. If you take him out of that team itā€™s totally different.

Heā€™s a top class talent on the verge of being a world-class talent as soon as he gets on that stage.

    William Saliba not for sale

Arsenal won't sell William Saliba, according to transfer insider James Benge.

I think Saliba, at the very least, has the potential to be the best player in the world in his position.

You donā€™t sign players like that more than once in a generation. The last time you would say that about a signing is probably Thierry Henry.

That Ā£27million now, if you put a one in front of it, then Arsenal are still probably hanging up the phone if you try to sign Saliba.

He is just everything you want in a centre-back. Kind of like [Virgil] Van Dijk at Liverpool.

    Folarin Balogun admission

Monaco star Folarin Balogun opened up about his final days at Arsenal before his move to France last summer.

He [Mikel Arteta] didn't really say much, he just said that when I came back he just said well done, and he encouraged me to keep going.

Then me coming back in a preseason, it was just more about me seeing whether I fit into his plans and seeing if I can continue to play some games.

He said that he would try to get me involved as best as he could, but of course he also told me that the people higher up were making decisions on me and seeing what would be best for me.

So the conversations between me and him were good, but it was more about the club, what they wanted to do.

    Arsenal transfer warning

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and Manchester United icon Roy Keane urged Arsenal to sign a striker in the January transfer window.

Carragher said: "I donā€™t think Arsenal can win the league with the squad that they have got right now. I think they would need to add to it in January."

Keane added: "They can win the league, but they do need a striker. The players you are talking about coming in, gives Arsenal that physicality. Itā€™s great when you watch a team that can play with the ball, but is also physically strong.

"You have seen [Manchester] City get stronger over the past couple of seasons, at set-pieces are huge. They need those physically strong players to get them over the line."

    Mudryk slams Arsenal taunt

Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk had a brutal response to an Arsenal fan who trolled him seconds after asking for a selfie.

One such fan recently managed to nab Mudryk, who almost joined the Gunners in January, for a snap – after which he decided to troll him.

The Gooner said to the winger: "North London is red."

A perplexed Mudryk couldn't quite believe the jibe as he boarded the Blues' bus.

The Ukraine international replied: "Why [are] you asking for a photo then?"

    Ian Wright advice

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged his former club to sign Brentford star Ivan Toney as he believes the striker is the "last piece in the jigsaw".

You know the thing with the way we play and how we spread goals about last season.

Yes it took us to a certain place but I donā€™t think the Toney links will go away.

I believe that Arsenal in what weā€™re trying to do now ā€“ the margins are so small now ā€“ you cannot afford to miss those chances and not win those games.

The Toney links donā€™t go away because you can see thatā€™s probably the last bit in the jigsaw.

Itā€™s obvious for everyone to see that this is the last piece. He will do it if it can be done.

    Emile Smith Rowe links

Newcastle are plotting a January swoop for Arsenal ace Emile Smith Rowe.

Smith Rowe has only started one match this season for the Gunners, which took place at the Carabao Cup.

The playmaker has also been restricted to just two Premier League appearances, both from the bench.

According to theĀ Northern Echo, the MagpiesĀ are keen on bringing the England international to the North East once the transfer window reopens in January.

However,Ā the North Londoners' Ā£50million price tag could cause the Toon issues on the financial fair play front.

Newcastle are believed to be preferring an initial loan deal with the option to turn it into a permanent arrangement.

    Go get Gitt

Arsenal are in the hunt for Borussia Dortmund ace Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

According toĀ Bild, severalĀ Premier LeagueĀ clubs are interested in the young sensation and that includes the Gunners.

The North Londoners' managerĀ Mikel ArtetaĀ is understood to be a "big fan" of Bynoe-Gittens, with the Spanish tactician seeing "huge potential" in him.

However, Chelsea and Newcastle are also monitoring the winger's situation.

Dortmund are said to have TRIPLED the England Under-21 international's salary when agreeing his new deal.

The 19-year-old was previously believed to be on around Ā£860,000 per year, but that has now increased to roughly Ā£2.6million.

Bynoe-Gittens has been likened to Manchester United ace Jadon Sancho – who also made his name at BVB.

Wilshere could be set to land his first managerial job after retiring last summer.

According toĀ The Athletic, the Gunners have granted the 31-year-old tactician permission to speak to theĀ MLSĀ side.

The ex-midfielder is understood to have impressed in an interview with the Rapids but a decision on whether to appoint him has yet to be made.

    Ivan Toney latest

Arsenal are in a "very strong position" to sign Brentford star Ivan Toney in January.

According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners are favourites to land Toney as they look to add a notable striker to Mikel Arteta's squad.

And the 27-year-old is believed to be a "huge fan" of the North Londoners.

This has "put Arsenal on the front foot in discussions" to sign the England international ahead of rivals Chelsea.

And the same report claims club chiefs are prepared to make a "huge push".

    Barcelona eye Jorginho

Barcelona are targeting Arsenal star Jorginho ahead of the January transfer window.

Barca were said to be planning a move for the midfielder next summer when he would be a free agent.

According to ESPN, the Italy international could now be presented with an escape route to the Nou Camp in January.

The 31-year-old has struggled for game time at the Emirates with the likes of Declan Rice, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz ahead of him in the pecking order.

    Victor Osimhen transfer swap

Arsenal have been offered the chance to land Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen in a swap deal ahead of the January transfer window.

Osimhen has had problems with the Partenopei and his agent has threatened the club with legal action following unpleasant videos posted on TikTok regarding his client.

The Serie A giants' social media executive has quit after the striker was ridiculed for missing a penalty against Bologna before being called a "coconut" – widely viewed as a racial slur.

According toĀ Calciomercato, the ongoing drama may lead to a full sale if contract issues aren't resolved.

The Italian champions are preparing for the worst and are looking at possible replacements.
