Im 45 but look decades younger thanks to 1 ingredient that I spray on my face

A skincare influencer in her mid-40s has disclosed how she saves money on anti-ageing products by using one DYI product that she keeps in her fridge.

Tee, known as @thatsotee on TikTok, claims her best-kept beauty secret offers a wealth of “amazing long-term, anti-ageing benefits”.

Rice water, according to the influencer, contains a multitude of benefits that can give the epidermis the much sought-after glassy look if used regularly.

“Let’s do a step-by-step on how to use rice water on your face,” Tee told her followers in a recent clip. “You are going to cleanse your face as usual – it’s the evening time right now I’m going to be double cleansing because I have make-up on.

“If doing this in the morning time I only splash my face with water, I don’t use a cleanser.”

She adds: “Now you’re going to spray the rice water all over your face, and you don’t forget your neck. Don’t rinse it off, let it air dry.”

The influencer then proceeded to the next step of her beauty routine; which involves locking moisture into the skin. She noted: “Rice water is a starch so it’s not going to moisturise your skin, so I highly suggest using a moisturiser after.”

Tee stresses the importance of consistency for those to see a real difference in the skin from using rice water, and encourages her followers to apply it twice a day.

“The key is to stay consistent. Do it morning and night and don’t forget to put it back in the fridge,” she urged her viewers.

Though it’s not common practice to use rice water in Western countries, the ingredient has long been featured in traditional beauty routines, and for a good reason.

Rice water is rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E and antioxidants that help nourish and protect the skin. It also contains amino acids that aid in collagen production, which promotes youth and plump complexions.

It has recently been discovered that rice water is also ideal for toning the skin and minimising the appearance of pores.

By nourishing, soothing and protecting the skin, it is firmly believed in the beauty industry that the toner could promote and youthful and radiant complexion.
