MORE than a hundreds petrol stations are set to reopen and be given a new lease of life by Asda.
The supermarket giant previously signed on the dotted line to take over 132 Co-op sites and has now revealed the full list of those yet to reopen.
It comes as the chain is expanding its convenience-format stores across the country.
The deal included 116 retail sites with attached petrol stations, plus three development sites.
So far it has opened a total of 11 Co-ops as Asda Express sites in all corners of the UK, including in Yorkshire, Leicestershire, Lancashire, Somerset London, Scotland, and Devon.
The chain also has plans for a further 105 to open by March 2024.

The converted Asda Express sites stock around 3,000 branded and own-label products.
These include essential items like milk and bread, last minute dinner ingredients and lunch on the go.
As part of the take over of shops around 2,300 workers currently employed by Co-op stores will transfer to Asda.
If your local Co-op is on the list to be switched over you could be quids in too.

Savvy shoppers have taken to social media to share bargain hauls they managed to pick up during their Co-op's closing down sale.
They've managed to pick up dozens of items including three bottles of cooking oil, five tins of coffee, cleaning products, pasta dishes and Ryvita for just £18.

A further three locations are set to open as part of the deal but the locations of these have not been revealed

"We look forward to bringing Asda’s great value in fuel and groceries to many more communities across the UK and to welcoming over 2,000 former Co-op colleagues to the Asda family in the coming months."
In addition to the recently converted Asda Express stores, the supermarket currently has three stand-alone Express stores too.
These include locations in Sutton Coldfield, London (Tottenham Hale) and Calne.
Shoppers are able to buy a range of hot and cold takeaway food options from Asda and partner brands including Leon.
They also offer parcel collection, return services and a grocery delivery service through Uber Eats.
Upcoming sites include Manchester Oxford Road and Romford Station, which are due to open in the coming months.
Asda has also confirmed that its acquisition of EG Group’s UK convenience estate is on track to be finished by the end of the year.
It isn't the only supermarket moving into the convenience sector though.
Morrisons is in the process of closing hundreds of McColl's stores and reopening them as mini Morrisons Daily sites.
These convenience stores stock a range of Morrisons own-brand and branded products, spanning fresh fruit and veg, meat, bread and dairy.
