We all like a bargain from the supermarket at any time of year.
However, its even more vital to save the pennies at Christmas because of all we have to buy over the festive season.
And one shopper got a right bargain this week as they managed to pick up a whole leg of lamb for just 5p at Sainsbury's. And people have been left baffled as the news spread online this week – as people couldn't understand why it was so cheap.

A photo of the cut-price lamb was shared online by one X (formerly Twitter) user who has spotted it on a Facebook group. She wrote: "Lord, I've seen what you've done for others…"
The lamb, which was resting on a sofa, was formerly £29.33, but was reduced to just 10p. A receipt next to it then showed that the shopper had got it even cheaper, at 5p, thanks to a Nectar Price saving.
The post has gone viral this week since being shared, racking up a staggering 1.6million views so far. Many couldn't believe what a bargain it was, as one person exclaimed: "Bloody hell that’s cheap," as another asked: "WTF?" A third probed: "10p? Is it gangrenous?" While a fourth chimed in: "It’s the extra nectar saving of 5p that’s done for me!"

However, despite the cheap price, some admitted that it wouldn't be for them. One wrote: "No chance I'd trust a 10p leg of lamb. There's a reason it's 10p and my stomach doesn't want to find out why," while another branded it "so grim".
