Samsung UK Opens Pop-up Galaxy Z Flip5 Skatepark in East London

Samsung UK has opened the doors to its Drop in with Samsung Flip Park experience. Taking place across two weeks in the heart of Shoreditch, London, the event features a range of hands-on activities that connect the worlds of skating and tech with their new Galaxy Z Flip5 folding phone.

Hosted in partnership with Skateboard GB – the governing body for skateboarding in the UK – Samsung Flip Park aims to celebrate skate culture by encouraging more individuals to take up the sport and learn about the modern skateboarding landscape alongside the best UK talent. Tying into the tech brand’s ethos of “trying something new,” it gives attendees of all ages the chance to kick-start their participation with complimentary beginner and intermediate skateboarding lessons with SBGB-recommended coaches.

Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Flip5 can also be found center stage at the event. The device is placed within creative booths hosting interactive skate-focused games and activities such as the Flip Your Angle magazine design booth. These activations are available to check out throughout the two weeks.

Not only does the event hone in on skateboarding, the brand will also be putting on a range of other workshops and performances that tap into contemporary street culture. A skaters fashion show, presented by Hypebeast, will take place on an erected runway while a line-up of DJs curated by local radio station Rinse FM will be spinning tracks throughout the evening events.

Additionally, skate-inspired yoga and wellness sessions, film nights, and a schedule of street art workshops by mural artist Billy Colours will also be open to attend through pre-booking. Bringing a variety of sessions together, Samsung’s Flip Park is set to be an inviting space to share, create and simply hang-out with like-minded individuals.

The Samsung Flip Park will be open until December 16. To find out more, head to the brand’s website now.
