Conspiracy theorists reckon former Apple CEO Steve Jobs might be alive and well in Egypt, perhaps even overseeing the launch of the new iPhone this week.
Tech magnate Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003 and passed away aged 56 in 2011. He was succeeded as Apple CEO by Tim Cook.
However, some reckon there could be a chance Jobs is still running things at Apple after a bizarre photo emerged following his death. It shows a man bearing a striking resemblance to him in Cairo.

The image was first shared to Facebook in 2019 before making its way onto Reddit. The caption reads: "Steve Jobs hiding in Egypt after faking his death."
Not only does the man look like Jobs, it appears as if he might be barefoot. Jobs often went about his day without shoes.
However, one thing that might suggest it isn't Jobs is that he has a normal watch on, not one of Apple's hi-tech touch screen watches.
Reacting to the image on Reddit, one person said: "I know this is supposed to be a joke, but WTF, this guy looks too much like Steve Jobs to be so random."
"Even something about the way he sits," another said.
A third said: "Honestly, wouldn't put it past him. His love for Egypt and that type of simple living.
"That spirituality that lives there. The need to escape.
"Idk (I don’t know) man. I'm not very into conspiracy theories, but Jobs would be crazy enough to actually do it."
Another commenter pointed out that Jobs' dad is Arabic, which is perhaps why the Egyptian man bears such a resemblance. His birth name was actually Abdul Lateef Jandali – it changed after he was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs.
But not everyone was convinced by the image. One comment read: "Side profile and the night time photography (high contrast of the shadows) could be deceiving.
"I wonder what this guy actually looks like when you look at him from the front."
It comes after Apple unveiled the new iPhone 15 range this week. For the first time since 2012 the company is changing the charging port on its flagship device, swapping the USB-C port for a lightning port to comply with EU regulations.
