    Avoid Don deal

Manchester United have been warned against signing Borussia Dortmund’s ex-Arsenal kid Donyell Malen.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a swoop for the 24-year-old Holland striker this month.

Dortmund are reportedly willing to include Malen in a swap deal for Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave Old Trafford in January.

However, ex-United striker Dwight Yorke has urged his former club against signing him.

Yorke told Instant Casino: “I’ve not seen much of Donyell Malen, but I know he’s scored a few goals in the Bundesliga.

“I haven’t seen enough of him to make a judgement on him, but he seems to be an alright player.

“United can’t waste money signing players who won’t improve the squad. I’m an aspiring coach, and that’s the first thing I take into consideration before I sign anyone.

“If this player doesn’t raise the level of the position he’s playing in, then the team will continue on the same path.

Malen left Arsenal to join PSV Eindhoven at the age of 18 in 2017, joining Dortmund three years later.

Arsenal 'aware' Santos could sell Marcos

Speculation on Arsenal moving for Santos striker Marcos Leonardo is hotting up.

Goal Brasil expect the Gunners to move for the 20-year-old in January.

And Santos dropping to the second tier for the first time in their 111-year history could make the Under-20 international available for less than the £12.8million Roma offered last summer.

Goal Brasil even claim Arsenal are “aware” the Brazilians have “promised” to negotiate selling Leonardo in the next transfer window.

PSG and Al-Hilal linked to Casemiro

Al-Hilal has reportedly entered the race to sign Casemiro.

PSG are very keen to add Manchester United's Brazilian to their ranks but may no face competition from the Saudi Pro League.

His destination may all depend on the price tag the Red Devils slap on the defensive midfielder.

Arteta may have to sell to buy

Mikel Arteta reportedly might need to get some fringe players off the books in order to make signings in the transfer window.

Other than loan signings, the Gunners spent a lot more than they brought in from sales in the summer and will need to curb their spending in comparison.

It is not just about transfer fees, getting some high earners who are not part of the first-team plans could be key to move on.

    Nkunku finally eyes debut

Christopher Nkunku is finally set for his Chelsea debut at home to Sheffield United tomorrow – more than a year after agreeing to join the Londoners.

The French striker suffered a knee injury on the Blues' pre-season tour of America after costing £52million from RB Leipzig in the summer.

Blues' boss Mauricio Pochettino said: "We need to be calm and quiet because it is going to put all the pressure on him.

"Nkunku, it is like a new signing because we didn’t use except for pre-season.

"Romeo Lavia will be fit in maybe one week or 10 days. These are two players who still haven’t made their debuts."

Gunners tipped to win '£100m race with Chelsea'

Ivan Toney would "prefer" to join Arsenal ahead of Chelsea in a January transfer battle fetching up to £100million.

That's the verdict of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Brentford's England striker, 27, can resume Prem action when his ban ends next month.

And although he's been valued at £80m-plus, Romano reckons any deal could soar beyond that sum.

He also claims Toney is "very excited" by the possibility of switching across London to the Emirates.

Why Mo might not go… yet

Saudi Pro League director of football Michael Emenalo expalined why he thinks Mo Salah won't be lured away fromAnfield in the enxt tranfer window.

Emenalo told Sky Sports News: "Mo Salah, like [Lionel] Messi, [Karim] Benzema, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, these are players that when there is a sense of availability for them, we are willing to listen.

"But we also understand that Mo is happy where he is at present and in a historic, wonderful club at Liverpool. We respect that very much and we don't want to come across as putting any pressure on him.

"But if there is any interest to do something, Mo Salah is a player that you want in your league, in any league.

"We respect Liverpool and in this scenario, the initiative to do anything won't come from us. There has to be an aligned interest from all parties involved.

"It's a very personal thing, as a player that I recruited [for Chelsea] and I like. There's nothing I'm saying that is new or ground-breaking. If Mo Salah is available, has an interest to come and everything is aligned, I would be incredibly delighted."

    Reds backed to keep Salah

Mo Salah is tipped to stay at Liverpool in January by the Saudi Pro League's director of football.

Salah, 31, was heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer.

Al-Ittihad launched a £170million bid for the winger on transfer deadline day, but it was turned down by Liverpool.

The Saudi side then proposed another last-gasp offer worth over £200m, but the Reds refused to budge.

Some reports suggested that Saudi Pro League officials were prepared to try again for the winger in January.

However, director of football Michael Emenalo believes a transfer is unlikely.

Shearer urges Toon to join Tooney hunt

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has urged his former club to splash the cash in January.

The Premier League's all-time top goalscorer believes Eddie Howe should push to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

Toney, 27, will return to action next month after completing his eight-month ban for breaching football betting regulations.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are understood to be interested in signing him, but Shearer thinks he would be a perfect fit for Newcastle.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, the Toon icon said: "I would, If I was in charge of recruitment at Newcastle.

"I think he’s a really good player and I think he’s a really good option.

"Newcastle need to improve in that department, and they need another option in there, so I don’t think there will be any shortage of suitors for Ivan Toney."

    Kiwior exit claims dismissed

Claims in Italy that Arsenal arehappy to offload Jakub Kiwior have met with widespread scepticism.

Forza Roma say intermediaries have offered the Poland centre-back to AS Roma.

They suggest an "offer arrived recently from London" about the ex-Spezia star which Roma found "tempting".

Arsenal only bought the 23-year-old in January this year for around £21.5million.

And injury-hit AC Milan have been linked with a loan approach for Kiwior.

But most reports have insisted the Gunners still have faith in his development – and that, at the very least, a January departure is unlikely.

The Gunners are said to have made contact with the Napoli star's agent Roberto Calenda.

That's despite Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24 suggesting the Nigeria hero could agreed a new contract with his Serie A club.

Any such extended deal could send his release clause soaring to around £112million – £7m more than the club record fee Arsenal paid West Ham for Declan Rice last summer.

Gunners' frontmen  Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have struggled for goals this season.

    Door open to Jonny

Gary O'Neil has admitted that the door is still open to Jonny to return to the Wolves team despite recent disciplinary issues.

He said: "I don't want to go into details of what did and didn't happen and Jonny has had a fantastic time at this football club.

"That can still continue. Somebody making a mistake definitely shouldn't define what you've been to the football club. I've made a million mistakes, I'm sure we all have.

"Jonny will have his thoughts on the situation. You make a mistake, we deal with the mistake and everybody moves on. That's where we are.

"It's been dealt with. Jonny is still a fantastic player for the football club and has been involved in some incredible moments here. Some fantastic seasons.

"Things happen in football, they're dealt with and we move on. We'll see what happens in the future."
