‘Couldn’t run a bath, let alone the country!’ Ex-Brexit Party MP slams Labour in outburst

Prime Minister Boris Johnson was last night moved into an intensive care unit in hospital as he continues his battle against coronavirus. As such, the Prime Minister was very much the topic of discussion on Jeremy Vine today as the TV presenter discussed with former Brexit Party MP Martin Daubney and journalist Ash Sarkar what the future holds for the UK government and Labour’s potential involvement.

There has been some suggestion a National Government would be the appropriate step forward during the ongoing pandemic.

Therefore, Jeremy was tasked with putting this idea forward to his guests on the Channel 5 show.

However, Martin found himself amused by the suggestion before Jeremy could even pose the question.

Jeremy opened the debate by saying: “There has been some speculation among Labour and Tory MPs about the idea even before Mr Johnson was admitted to hospital,”

  • Queen sends message to NHS workers ‘in challenging circumstances’

He added: “And the new Labour leader Keir Starmer has not totally ruled it out.

“He’s just, of course, named his shadow cabinet. You will have seen people like Ed Miliband coming back who may be able to help in this crisis…”

Jeremy soon stopped his monologue as he found himself distracted by laughter coming from Martin.

The Channel 5 host then quizzed the former Brexit Party MP directly: “You don’t think so, Martin, no?”

Clearly amused by Labour’s decision to reemploy Ed, Martin sarcastically hit back: “Yeah, in Britain’s hour of need, let’s get back Ed Miliband,

“The guy who was obliterated in 2015 and was the reason millions of voters who had voted Labour all their lives, including myself, abandoned the Labour party.

“I think we’ve got to be really, really careful here of how this is perceived,

“I’m speaking as a former politician who knocked on thousands of doors during the General Election campaign in December.

“This isn’t about politicians right now, this isn’t about splitting power or some craven political land-grab by the Labour party who cannot get elected by legitimate means, all day long!”

Martin continued his outburst: “Their politics have been soundly rejected – we don’t even have a united Labour party at the moment!

“Momentum are tearing the party apart, Keir Starmer has just kicked out a load of Corbynistas,

“Most people wouldn’t trust that lot to run a bath, let alone the country!”

  • Who will speak to Queen for PM Boris Johnson while he’s in hospital?

The former politician finished his rant by saying: “Now is not the time for more politics.”

Jeremy moved the debate on following Martin’s scathing and comprehensive rant.

The Channel 5 show went on to address whether non-essential deliveries should be banned as well as the latest on Prine Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity.

Jeremy Vine continues every weekday at 9:15am on Channel 5.

How to Train Your Dragon 4: Will there be another How to Train Your Dragon movie?

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World performed incredibly well in cinemas and has now been nominated for a Golden Globe for its stunning work. The franchise spawned a trilogy of films, a TV series as well as a video game. But could the success of the How to Train Your Dragon franchise lead to a fourth film?

Will there be another How to Train Your Dragon movie?

Sadly for fans of the film franchise, How to Train Your Dragon’s director Dean DeBlois confirmed the third sequel, The Hidden World, will be the last in the series.

Entertainment Weekly reported on DeBlois’ speech at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

DeBlois said: “We thought about it for a long time and came up with what we think is a bittersweet way to say goodbye to these characters, but the right way.”

“You will understand why Hiccup says, as you heard in the trailer, ‘There were dragons when I was a boy.’

“And by the end of this film, you’ll have answered the question of what could have happened to them.”

This was said just over a year ago, but never say never in Hollywood.

The first film grossed $494.8million (£396.7million,) while the second film grossed $621.5million (£498.3million.)

  • Frozen 2: Real reason behind THAT major Elsa ‘GIRLFRIEND’ decision

Sadly, the third film did not make the same amount of money as the second, but still did very well at the box office, earning around $519.9million (£416.9million.)

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World even outdid the first film, especially with a budget of $129million (£103.4million) which meant it made a substantial amount of money.

The franchise is based on How to Train Your Dragon series of books by Cressida Cowell, which has 16 novels.

There is plenty of material to be mined for further films and series, despite the TV series finishing in February 2019.

However, with DeBlois’ comments, it seems likely that this is the end – at least for the foreseeable future.

Though this is the final chapter, you can watch the first How to Train Your Dragon on Amazon Prime Video to rent for £2.49 or buy for £7.99 on download.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is also available on Amazon to rent for the same price, while How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is £3.49 to rent, and £9.99 to buy on download.

All three are also available on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as a triple-pack of the three films together.

Gogglebox fans baffled as fan-favourite star is replaced ‘Where is she?’

Gogglebox is every fan’s guilty pleasure – what better way to spend your evening than watching other people watch TV? But hey, it works and we love it. But fans were left slightly baffled when a newcomer replaced an old favourite.

The Channel 4’s popular reality series has sprung a fair few faces into the spotlight that have gone on to do other things in the world of TV, such as Scarlett Moffatt who also went on to win I’m A Celeb in 2016, and present a new show The Tribe Next Door with her family.

But on Friday evening’s show, fans realised one of their much-loved cast members was missing.

Izzi and Ellie Warner became strong fan-favourites when they joined series 6, but Izzi was a no-show in last week’s episode.

Due to the government’s latest advice on coronavirus, the lockdown meant the mum-of-two was unable to visit her sister’s house in order to film.

  • Gogglebox star Sandra Martin ‘in tears’ as sister-in-law dies

The strict rules led to an unfamiliar face taking her place, in the form of Ellie’s boyfriend Nat.

Taking to Twitter, viewers share their viewers on the new substitution.

One said: “Izzi is looking different #Gogglebox.”

Another added: “Right, who’s that next to my Ellie? I’m not happy.”

“Ellie & Nat are cute but it’s not the same without Izzi,” a third exclaimed.

A fourth commented: “Aw, I’m really missing the Ellie/Izzi duo on #Gogglebox tonight.”

Despite the global pandemic causing productions across the nation (and the world) to shut down and pause filming, Channel 4 revealed they would continue to film the show but without a camera crew in order to protect their workers and cast.

Ian Katz, director of programming at the broadcaster said: “The coronavirus outbreak is an enormous creative challenge for all broadcasters and though it is having a profound impact on getting some of our productions onto screen, it’s also a time when public service broadcasters like Channel 4 can step up and help people navigate through the extraordinary challenges we all now face.”

But Ellie and Izzi aren’t the only stars affected by the ongoing pandemic that’s brought the world to a stand-still.

Last week, former Gogglebox star Sandra Martin revealed in one week she lost five people close to her due to the deadly disease.

The 58-year-old telly favourite shared a picture of her sobbing on Twitter as she delivered the grave news that her sister-in-law’s daughter had died.

  • Gogglebox viewers in uproar as stars ‘break’ self-isolation rules

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Sandra explained: “She did have underlying health issues before she passed away and my brother, who is now in self-isolation is absolutely devastated by it.

“When I found out I started to cry and my daughter told me to pack my bags so I am staying with her in Brixton at the moment.”

Gogglebox returns Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.

She then said: “I mean that. We need to just connect, to hear other people’s stories, laugh, cry, all those human things that BGT has always been about.”

Britain’s Got Talent is set to return on April 11, but Ant and Dec announced that the live shows will return “later this year” after being cancelled due to the coronavirus.

BGT previously announced although the live shows will be postponed until a later date, all the audition rounds will go ahead as normal as they were pre-recorded, according to The Sun.

The X Factor host, Dermot O’Leary, 46, recently asked ITV favourites, Ant and Dec, about the new series on his Radio 2 show.

Ant McPartlin, 44, told the radio presenter: “The auditions start next Saturday, a week tomorrow, which we’ve already shot.

“There’s some great talent again this year. I think we’re going to do the lives later on this year hopefully, depending on the world.”

Co-host Dec Donnelly, 44, then added: “You can’t really make any firm plans at the moment can you?

Tiger King’s Joe Exotic on Carole Baskin prison sentence: ‘I’m ashamed of myself’

Joe Exotic, who’s real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, 57, has admitted he is “ashamed” of himself for keeping wild animals locked up after always defending his actions for years. The 57-year-old is serving his 22-year sentence for plotting to murder animal rights activist, Carole Baskin, 58.

I’m ashamed of myself.

Joe Exotic

The Netflix star told Netflix from prison that he is “done” with his previous attitude towards animals and is “ashamed” of his behaviour.

He said in a video that was shared from Netflix’s Twitter account: “Go sit in a cage with your animals for a week.

“I mean, when I left the zoo and sent my chimpanzees to the sanctuary in Florida and imagined what my chimpanzees went through for 18 years, I’m ashamed of myself.”

The zoo owner then went on to express his thoughts on Carole Baskin, the animal rights activist who he “planned to murder”.

  • James Martin: Saturday Morning chef addresses marriage and kids regret

Joe continued: “I’m done with the Carole Baskin saga.

“It’s now time to turn the tables and Joe get out of jail a free man and exonerated from all these charges.”

The tiger breeder added: “You know it would be nice if I could actually see me being famous out there but I’ve seen these same four walls for a year and a half now.”

One fan and viewer of the documentary wrote in response: “Joe isn’t mentally ill, he’s just a person who got caught up in a messed up community.”

Another added: “#KeepJoeInJail – just because Carole’s issues are different, Jeff Lowe’s a crook, and other people cage and mistreat exotic animals, doesn’t make Joe innocent.”

Meanwhile, one said they “want to see what he’ll do” as they wrote: “I just want him out to see what he’ll do.

“I still believe Jeff pushed him to hire someone so that he’ll take the zoo.”

Joe is in prison for his 22-year sentence which he is pleading innocent, according to UniLad.

Tiger King is a Netflix documentary that follows the life of Joe Exotic, an owner of GW Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, where more than 1,200 animals are kept in captivity.

The Mirror reported there is a chance Joe had contracted coronavirus in prison and has been self-isolating, according to a report from prison.

This comes after some inmates at his previous prison tested positive for covid-19.

Joe’s fourth husband, Dillon Passage, 24, previously spoke out as he was concerned that Joe could potentially have the deadly bug, according to The Mirror.

  • Logan Williams: The Flash actor dies suddenly at 16 as mum speaks out

Dillon told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio Andy Show on Wednesday: “We speak like three to five times every day, but since he’s been moved to this new facility, they are putting him on a COVID-19 isolation because of the previous jail he was at, there were cases.”

“I’ve yet to speak to him since he moved.”

Dillon then confirmed that Joe “is in his own COVID-19 quarantine” as he said: “From what I know, yes. From what he told me.”

The publication revealed that TV station KFDX-TV first reported that Joe tested positive and had been transferred, however, they then corrected the report and said the star had been “transferred to quarantine”.

Money Heist season 4 ending explained: What happened at the end?

Money Heist season four landed on Netflix on April 3 and fans have already binge-watched all eight episodes over the weekend. In the new series, Nairobi (played by Alba Flores) returns after being shot while standing in a window of the bank in Spain. Berlin (Pedro Alonso) was also seen in the new series after he was presumed dead in the earlier episodes.

WARNING: This story contains spoilers for Money Heist season 4

What happened at the end of Money Heist season 4?

The new series followed on from a number of cliffhangers from the end of the third season – with Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) presumed dead and The Professor (Álvaro Morte) trying to save Nairobi.

Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) and Rio (Miguel Herrán) were busy fighting off a military tank and their lives were left hanging in the balance.

Fans were relieved to see in the new series Lisbon was alive – and following this, there was an intense rescue plan which saw Lisbon broken out of confinement.

She was rescued via a tunnel the gang had dug to the parking lot of the court, and she is then sent straight back to the Bank of Spain.

  • Money Heist season 4: Who is Manila in Money Heist?

Season four had started with the gang trying to save Nairobi who had been shot, as she had been lured to a window.

The bullet had pierced her lung and the gang began frantically trying to slow the impact of the wound.

They decided she would leave the Bank of Spain and be transferred to a hospital and get the care she desperately needed.

But it would have been too dangerous and in the end, the gang took it upon themselves to try and save her.

Fans were taken on an emotional rollercoaster as she seemed to recover well and encouraged the gang to continue with the heist.

But she ended up facing the barrel of a gun once more as one of the hostages Gandia (José Manuel Poga) had escaped and had been spying on them.

He managed to track Nairobi down and ended up shooting her in the head, killing her instantly, and fans were left heartbroken.

One fan took to Twitter to express their frustration, saying: “Jeez! I just can’t. Petition to bring Nairobi back.”

Another fan said: “What is Money Heist without Nairobi and Berlin.”

One viewer joked: “Now that you’ve quickly finished all the episodes in Money Heist 4 and have finished screaming For Nairobi!! What do you plan to do with your life now?”

Fans are also left wondering what will happen to The Professor after he was tracked down by Sierra (Najwa Nimri).

She continues to hold a grudge against him and has no issues with making him suffer, and she is seen pointing her gun at him.

Fans do not see what happens to The Professor after this and they are wondering whether he too is dead.

There is a chance The Professor could talk Sierra down and persuade her to put him to use, with fans even suggesting he could deliver her baby.

  • Money Heist fans in uproar over ‘disappointing’ season 4

Money Heist, which is also known as La Casa de Papal, could see another series but Netflix has not made an official announcement yet.

The streaming platform is likely to wait and see how the fourth series performs before making a decision, and it usually takes about a month before this happens.

The creators have hinted a fifth series could be on the cards but fans will have to wait until at least next month before the next update.

With the outbreak of the coronavirus halting all filming and production across the globe, a new series is not likely to come until late 2021, or even the following year.

John Lennon: The Beatle’s star’s excuse to first wife after bizarre gift from Yoko Ono

John Lennon first met Yoko Ono in 1966 when she was exhibiting her work in London. The Beatles star was at the height of his fame with the Fab Four and was a father to young son Julian Lennon with his wife and childhood sweetheart Cynthia Lennon. He and avant-garde artist Ono hit it off straight, with the Imagine hitmaker finding her instantly engaging on an intellectual level after being introduced to her conceptual work.

After meeting, the pair began to corresponding, writing letters to each other in the years to come.

It wasn’t until Lennon’s first wife came home from a holiday with their son to find him sat on the floor of their home with Ono (having spent the night together) that their marriage officially came to an end.

While he was still married, however, Lennon received an intriguing package from Ono.

“I was making little art projects,” Ono told Playboy in a newly unearthed interview, revealing why exactly she had sent the Beatle a box of maxi pads.

  • John Lennon wife: Who is Yoko Ono? How did John Lennon meet Yoko Ono?

“It was a piece that you open a box of Kotex and inside there are a lot of Kotex pads and a red broken cup.”

Ono called this sort of work a “mend piece”, explaining: “You’re supposed to mend the cup that is broken.

“The idea is, when you open the Kotex box and go through it, there is something red in there.”

Naturally, though, Lennon wife and mother-in-law, who happened to be there, were confused as to why another woman was posting this to Lennon.

“I was married and my wife wondered who was this woman who sent me a box of Kotex,” Lennon told the publication, recalling how he had to tell his wife: “‘This is actually an artist’s work, my dear.’

“‘[This artist] happens to work with Kotex,’” he remembered excusing himself.

“‘One of the avant-garde fields, Kotex, you see.’”

Lennon’s divorce from his first wife was finalised in 1968 and he married Ono the following year.

Along with his new relationship with Ono, he also moved away from the more mainstream music he had been making and decided to leave The Beatles.

He subsequently began writing and recording more avant-garde music with his new wife and her group the Plastic Ono Band.

Just a few years after they tied the knot, the couple’s relationship grew too intense, with their incredible closeness combined with the backlash and anger they faced from The Beatles fans taking its toll.

As a result, Lennon embarked on what he later referred to as his “lost weekend”: an affair with their assistant May Pang.

Ono knew of the affair and sanctioned it, with the rocker moving to Los Angeles and setting up home with Pang for 18 months.

He later returned to her in New York, however, and his moved back in with his wife.

In 1975, they welcomed their son Sean Lennon.

Lennon was tragically shot and killed on December 8, 1980.

How To Stream HBO Shows & Movies For Free, Including ‘Succession’ & ‘Veep’

Welp, it’s another day in quarantine, but thankfully, even if you’re not a subscriber, it’s not another day without HBO. The network has decided to release close to 500 hours of programming at no cost to viewers looking for new ways to keep busying while social distancing. So, even if you don’t have a login, here’s how to stream HBO shows and movies for free. Praise be.

The selected programming was made available for free starting Friday, April 3, and the only thing you need to do in order to access is it download the HBO Now or the HBO Go apps. While not every show found on the paid service is included in this new free version, there’s a solid enough lineup to get you through at least another weekend or so of staying at home. Every episode of True Blood, Veep, Succession, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Ballers, Barry, Silicon Valley, and The Sopranos is currently available, along with others.

Unfortunately, hits like Game of Thrones, Euphoria, Big Little Lies, and Westworld are excluded from HBO’s list of free content currently available to stream (you can, however, watch a few standalone episodes from some of these series at no cost). Still, with multiple full series, movies, and documentaries available to enjoy, there’s plenty of hope for new discoveries and rewatches of old faves.

This #StayHomeBoxOffice movement was made ahead of the launch of HBO Max, the company’s new service set to drop next month. The $14.99 monthly subscription price will include access to everything on HBO, originals, and (hopefully still) the eagerly awaited (but currently delayed) Friends reunion.

Here’s the full list of free streaming content now offered by HBO:

  • Ballers
  • Barry
  • Silicon Valley
  • Six Feet Under

Marvel and Disney release dates: Black Widow, Mulan, Eternals and more REVEALED

Highly-anticipated Marvel film Black Widow has officially been delayed. Disney delivered the devastating – but expected – news today, and it included all their major films on the slate for this year. Black Widow has been pushed to the winter, while Jungle Cruise will be opening in cinemas in the summer of 2021. The full changes are below.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused huge changes to the films being released this year already.

And now Disney is completely shifting its Marvel Studios releases to to fit a new plan – especially given the lack of production taking place this year.

So the latter half of 2020 and 2021 should be relatively unaffected for movie-goers when they’re finally able to enjoy the pastime again.

Black Widow is now moving to November 6 and Eternals will open on February 12, 2021.

  • Marvel cancelled movies: Which movies in the MCU have been delayed?

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been moved to May 7, 2021.

While Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now opening November 5th, 2021.

Perhaps the one most eagerly-anticipated though is Thor: Love and Thunder, which now won’t be in cinemas until February 18th, 2022.

Interestingly, Mulan is sticking to a release date of July 24, having already had its world premiere in Hollywood earlier this month.

While Disney Pixar animation Soul is still expected to be released in the summer.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt caper Jungle Cruise will be coming to cinemas July 30, 2021.

Black Panther 2 remains on May 8, 2022 and Captain Marvel 2 takes the spot on July 8, 2022.

Meanwhile, Disney Plus will see the arrival of Kenneth Branagh’s Artemis Fowl, so fans in lockdown still have that to look forward to.

While a fourth insisted: “We’ve been waiting for years, few months won’t be anything.”

“The best decision. Nat deserves her day in the theater. We can wait,” a fifth said.

And another added: “WE LOVE YOU NAT, SEE YOU IN NOVEMBER!!”

Not everyone agreed though, as one person offered: “To me it made more sense to drop it on disney+ while everyone is stuck at home but tbf I’m not an expert.”

“I know why the movie has to be delayed but still – I’ve been waiting over ten years for this movie and now I have to wait even longer,” another fan lamented.

Ant McPartlin causes chaos as Saturday Night Takeaway star goes missing during interview

Ant and Dec conclude this year’s series of Saturday Night Takeaway tomorrow night and in the lead up to the big finale, they’ve been giving interviews to tease viewers what’s in store for them. The pair were set to speak with X Factor host and BBC Radio Two presenter Dermot O’Leary, 46, on his breakfast show this morning. However, things didn’t go quite according to plan as Ant, 44, was nowhere to be heard as the chat got underway.

With the current coronavirus outbreak affecting all walks of life, both television and radio shows are having to make adjustments to ensure they follow Government guidelines.

This includes presenters speaking to guests from their homes via all manner of social media apps and communication devices.

ITV viewers would have seen Ant and his co-host Dec, 44, use this format to bring last week’s edition of their hit Saturday night entertainment programme to screen.

However, it seemed technology was working against them today as when Dermot tuned in to speak with the Geordie duo, Ant seemed to be missing.

  • Ant and Dec bypass highest ratings ever for Saturday Night Takeaway

Beginning the interview, the radio presenter told viewers: “Right now, we’re going to be speaking to Dec and Dec.”

With the ITV star chuckling away in the background, Dermot asked his guest: “Where is he?” in reference to Ant’s absence.

“Who knows, Dermot,” the Saturday Night Takeaway host replied, to which the X Factor presenter quipped: “He’s still asleep, isn’t he?”

“Probably, it would not be the first time,” the guest joked before his interviewer reiterated there was a missing person from the call.

“We’re supposed to have Ant and Dec on, but we can’t get hold of Ant. I don’t know where he is,” Dermot explained.

“You’re not telepathic, you’re not your brother’s keeper,” he added before Dec said it was most likely technical difficulties causing the chaos.

“Let’s be honest, we’re all getting used to Zoom and WhatsApp calling and video calling, none of us know what we’re doing, do we?”

As the presenter began to ask more about what the boys had planned for the finale of their hit series, Ant finally joined the chat.

Dermot quipped: “Here he is, has he rolled out of bed now?” to which the Saturday Night Takeaway star replied: “What are you on about, Dermot? I’ve been sat here waiting for you!”

It was revealed Ant had been ready to accept the call at the right time, but technical difficulties on BBC’s end meant he was delayed in joining the interview.

Despite all the difficulties, the pair finally managed to talk about this series, which has been very different compared to previous years.

When news of the coronavirus outbreak first broke last month, the hosts managed to keep their audience in the studio until a time the Government began to implement precautionary measures.

  • Ant and Dec fans brand Saturday Night Takeaway episode ‘weirdest ever’

Two weeks ago, Ant and Dec recorded the show live without a studio audience for the first time ever in the show’s history.

However, with a lockdown implemented just days after, last weekend’s show saw both presenters host Saturday Night Takeaway from their living rooms.

Popular segments and highlights of their best parts of the show were shown in-between pre-recorded stints to make it seem everything was live.

This format will be followed for the final instalment, which was meant to be filmed from Disney World in Florida.

Saturday Night Takeaway continues tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV.
