This is the moment two women at an Islamic group’s protest during a pro-Palestine rally were arrested for holding Arabic signs that read ‘How beautiful is it to be a soldier of Allah’.
One woman told police officers to ‘understand the context’ of their signs as they attended the demonstration calling for ‘jihad’ against Israel yesterday.
Many have held signs and banners covered with phrases considered antisemitic or inviting support for terrorism since protests began on October 7 – a day which saw about 1,200 people in Israel killed by Hamas.
Footage posted on social media shows the two women trying to justify their signs with a group of police officers monitoring the protest.
One of the women can be heard saying: ‘You understand the context of this whole thing. This is not about, obviously, this is about moving armies to liberate Palestine.’

Another said: ‘This is not about individuals.’
In response to the video, one person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: ‘Praising soldiers of Allah and calling for Jihad is not peaceful protesting.’
Another said: ‘And how exactly are the police supposed to take it if not seriously?’
