AN SUV guarding President Joe Biden's motorcade was slammed into by another vehicle on Sunday evening.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were unharmed in the incident while leaving a campaign headquarters visit in Wilmington, Delaware.
The president was said to be walking toward the SUV, which was being used to close off intersections for his departure, when a gray sedan rammed into the parked armored vehicle, per the Associated Press.
After continuing to try and move through the blocked intersection, the Secret Service surrounded the car and drew their weapons.
The driver was instructed to put their hands up, with the president whisked away to a separate car where the first lady was waiting.
They were taken home, and President Biden's schedule was otherwise unaffected by the crash.
Further details about the incident are limited at this time, and it's unclear if the motorist's actions were intentional.
It was reported that the driver complied with Secret Service willingly and put his hands up while they approached.
The driver has yet to be identified, although a picture has shown them being questioned by authorities at the scene.
The U.S. Sun contacted the Secret Service for an official comment, and a spokesperson revealed more information about the crash.

"Today, at approximately 8:09 p.m., a Secret Service vehicle securing the President’s motorcade route was struck by another vehicle in Wilmington, DE," they wrote in an email.
"There was no protective interest associated with this event and the President’s motorcade departed without incident."
Sunday evening's crash on the motorcade comes after President Biden and his son, Hunter, slammed GOP leaders after they filed an impeachment inquiry vote.
Investigations into Biden's business dealings have been underway after actions from Republican leaders for the past year.
The GOP specifically looked into the president's international relations.
A closed-door hearing on Wednesday was held by House Republicans about the impeachment inquiry vote.
They decided to move forward with the impeachment inquiry process amid fears over a lack of evidence.
President Biden later took to social media and listed several world issues he's working on during his time in the White House.
He also called out Republicans, accusing them of neglecting to see the big picture.
"I wake up every day focused on the issues facing the American people," Biden's office said in a statement.
"Unfortunately, House Republicans are not joining me."
"Instead of doing their job on the urgent work that needs to be done, they are choosing to waste their time on this baseless political stunt that even Republicans in Congress admit is not supported by facts," the statement continued.
Hunter appeared outside the Capitol building before his dad's response on social media while defying a subpoena asking for a private questioning.
"Republicans do not want an open process where Americans can see their tactics, expose their baseless inquiry, or hear what I have to say," Hunter claimed.
"What are they afraid of? I'm here."
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also issued a statement after the vote.
"We do not take this responsibility lightly and will not prejudice the investigation's outcome," Johnson said.
"But the evidentiary record is impossible to ignore."
Several House Democrats have stood strong in their support of President Biden and criticized the impeachment inquiry.
