Emmerdale star Jessie Elland has had quite the journey onto our television screens.
The actress joined the ITV soap as Chloe Harris in 2021 and has been at the centre of multiple dramatic storylines and after previously getting pregnant with Mackezie Boyd's (Lawrence Robb) unborn child after their one-night stand, it seems she is again.
Chloe tells Amy she thinks she's pregnant again and after the pair take a pregnancy test, Mack is thrilled and ultimately proposes to Chloe. As the pair announce their dual news to family, Mack gets a grilling from his nearest and dearest.

However when Chloe gets her period she opts not to tell Mack straight away over fears of losing him. But the following day she ultimately tells him everything. As Chloe's life continues to go up in turmoil, we've looked at what she's really like behind the lens.
Video tape audition
Jessie made her Emmerdale debut in 2021 and was introduced as Chloe, the sister of Gemma Harris, who memorably donated the heart received by Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) in her heart transplant surgery. Speaking ahead of her first appearance on the soap, the actress confessed that she initially auditioned for the show with her mother at home.
She told The Northern Echo: "The initial audition was a self-tape that I filmed at home with my Mum – who insists it's down to her acting prowess in that tape that I got the part. "Then a week later I was asked to come into the studios for a screen test."
Career change
While Jessie is a burgeoning actress, her career path at one time in her life looked very different. Speaking last year, the soap star candidly revealed that she initially studied Anthropology – the science of human development – at university before switching to drama after a week.
Jessie previously explained: "Drama school wasn't really an option so I went to the University of Manchester to study Anthropology and audit their Drama course, though after a week I decided to switch to Drama full time. It was a very theory based course which I enjoyed, but I made sure to get involved in as much extracurricular drama/acting as possible."
Co-star bond
Jessie has previously shared her close bond with her 'brilliant' Emmerdale co-star Laura Norton. She told OK!: "Laura Norton is really funny, she is brilliant.
"It's so infectious as well, but she can switch back to being professional so quickly and easily — she's brilliant, she's fab. I feel so lucky I get to work with Laura, she's brilliant."
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV
