Kate Garraway warns Richard Madeley we havent got time on GMB

GMB: Kate Garraway tells Richard about her Concorde experience

Richard Madeley was forced to swiftly move on while chatting with Kate Garraway about her Concorde experience.

With just minutes left of the live show, the presenting duo introduced their last segment on Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain, where they discussed young children becoming social media influencers.

But Richard, 67, got distracted as he turned to Kate, 56, and revealed he never had the opportunity to fly on a Concorde.

“I wish I had gone on Concorde,” he commented. “That’s a dream that will never be fulfilled.”

Kate replied: “I managed to actually.”

A stunned Richard remarked: “Did you? Did you fly supersonic?”

“I went supersonic. Can you imagine,” Kate chuckled as her co-star patted her arm.

He mused: “Wow,” clearly enthralled by his GMB colleagues experience having flown on a Concorde.

Kate quickly interjected: “Look, we haven’t got time,” as Richard appeared keen to discuss her time on the now discontinued jet.

But the pair had just seconds to spare before introducing their final two guests ahead of Lorraine’s show.

“Another time,” Richard said, as he turned to face the camera.

Kate concluded: “Yes, we will talk about it another time.”

The Concorde, one of only two supersonic commercial jets in service to date, was retired in late 2003 – after flying for 27 years.

The duo’s appearance comes after Susanna Reid revealed she was taking a break from the ITV show.

The TV favourite normally hosts the ITV show from Monday to Thursday. However, last week she announced her departure – confirming she would be away for a while to spend time with her family during half-term.

Appearing alongside Richard, she told him and Lorraine that she would be back soon. She explained: “I am back in two weeks.”

Kate usually presents GMB on Thursday and Friday – but this week she was brought in early to host the show.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
