The Weakest Link: Jordan North says he ‘jinxed’ himself
Jordan North’s BBC series Project Icon has reportedly been axed by the broadcaster.
The talent show saw UK artists hoping to capture the eye of A-lister Jason Derulo and his long-time business partner, music mogul Frank Harris.
Joining them in series one was double Brit Award winner, Becky Hill, who knew exactly what it took to go from talent show competitor to superstar after winning The Voice.
The first series saw winner Dylan Holloway securing a record deal and a collaboration with Jason.
However, a BBC spokesperson told Express.co.uk it has “no plans” for another series.

They told this publication: “Project Icon is a bold, contemporary music show that unearthed some brilliant new talent including winner Dylan who has gone all the way from performing in local pubs in Cornwall to recording with Jason Derulo and Frank Harris’ music label in LA and performing at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
“We are delighted to have played a part in Dylan’s music journey and wish him the very best of luck in all his future endeavours.
“Whilst there are currently no immediate plans for an additional series of Project Icon, we’d like to extend our thanks to the entire team at MultiStory Media and ITV America, including Jason and Frank, Becky Hill and presenter Jordan North for bringing the series to screen and unearthing some top tier talent.”

Pop and R&B singer Jason said before the show aired in March: “The world of music has changed and being a superstar with staying power today requires a lot more than just singing.
“Project Icon is the first TV show that will challenge contestants on all realistic skills an artist today should have for a real shot at being an Icon.”
In a BBC synopsis, a description of the show read: “This talent show leaves the shiny floor studios behind and instead throws these artists into the real world of today’s music industry.
“The winner will secure a record deal, a collaboration with Jason himself, and will get to perform at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
“Designed to find out who’s got what it takes to make it in the fiercely competitive world of music, the unsigned artists will compete against each other in a series of industry-inspired challenges.
“Everything from creating viral social media videos, to tricky press interviews and of course the ability to perform on some of the UK’s most iconic stages.”
