BBC weatherman makes x-rated innuendo about ‘equipment’
Peter Levy was left red-faced earlier this week when BBC weatherman Paul Hudson made a sexual innuendo live on air.
During Thursday’s episode of BBC Look North (East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire) presenter Peter, 68, panned to Paul, 52, and explained to the audience he had previously been facing some technical difficulties.
“At lunchtime, his equipment wasn’t working,” he informed the audience. “Is it repaired?”
In reply, the metrologist said: “Well, I think you’ll find my 10-week daughter proves there’s nothing wrong with my equipment Peter.”
The comment caused the 68-year-old to cringe as he held his head in his hands on live TV.

“Well you asked!,” continued Paul, who has been at the helm of the BBC since the 1990s.
After recovering, Peter held his hand over his mouth and said: “Let’s just have the forecast. I seriously need danger money for doing this programme.”
Before diving into Thursday evening’s weather report, the father-of-one said: “Sorry, I’m off on a tangent there”.
This summer, the weatherman welcomed his first child with partner Kate – a daughter called Anya.
Paul also shares two children with his former wife and fellow BBC presenter, Nicola Hudson.
