EastEnders: Phil and Keanu confirmed as working together

EastEnders’ Kat Slater (played by Jessie Wallace) finally learns the truth about Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who is being tested for prostate cancer.

In an unlikely partnership, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) has been supporting him through his hospital appointments but has been sworn to secrecy by Alfie.

Official spoilers for the BBC soap reveal Kat will finally find out the truth, which will leave her fuming with Phil.

In scenes yet to air, Kat is angry when Alfie admits that Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) lashed out at him and that he and Phil have been dealing with it without her by taking him to the boxing den.

When she confronts Phil over keeping secrets, he accidentally shares Alfie’s cancer scare news.

Kat is horrified when Phil reveals Alfie should be getting prostate cancer results on that day, and she drops everything to be with him at the hospital.

Back at home, Kat and Phil row over his deception.

Phil tries to make amends with Kat, who has frozen him out.

After a pep talk with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Phil arrives at the cab office with chocolates for Kat, but his attempts to make up are unsuccessful.

In a state, Phil storms over to Peggy’s to be alone, but Emma Harking (Patsy Kensit) barges in and demands a G&T.

At the Vic, Sharon talks sense into Kat, who goes looking for Phil. Will she forgive Phil for keeping things about her son from her?

Perhaps she will have another reason to be angry if it seems Phil and Emma have bonded over a drink.

Could Alfie’s health scare cause Kat to realise she might still have some lingering feelings?

She shares a long history with Alfie after the pair first got together way back in 2003.

However, they faced a rocky marriage and Kat has been with Phil for a long time now.

Despite Phil and Alfie’s new friendship, could there be some jealousy on the horizon at Kat lends her support to her ex?
