Jane McDonald explains that she’s open to dating again
Jane McDonald made a candid admission about her love life, telling the Loose Women panel she doesn’t “need a man”.
The former cruise ship singer, who lost her second husband Eddie Roth to cancer, said her friends and sister helped her through the grieving process.
When quizzed about whether she was open to finding love again, Jane didn’t rule it out but admitted she was content on her own.
When asked how she was feeling after Eddie died in March 2021, Jane said: “I am doing alright actually due to my mates. I’ve got a real great network of girls.”
She continued: “All single, some of us widowed and we have a great time.

“We go away and we eat out and we do things together and laugh until we have wet pants. so I’m enjoying this part of my life now.”
Denise Welch went on to quiz Jane on whether she was on dating apps or wanted to date.
She replied: “No, I was very blessed to have a great relationship and I don’t feel as if my life needs a man to complete it.
“I’m not saying I’m never gonna do it again. I think that would be lovely. But I don’t feel as if I need someone in my life to make it complete.”

Jane, who lives with a group of her friends, are also single and “aren’t seriously looking”.
Elsewhere in the chat, Jane spoke about the latest addition to her family – her great-nephew Eddie, named after her late husband.
“Oh, I just love him my little Eddie,” Jane beamed after sharing pictures of the newborn. “I could eat him, he’s that gorgeous.”
“That’s why I can’t travel as much now,” the presenter added. “I need to see more of that face.”
“And he’s named after your late Ed which is just lovely,” Denise weighed in.
Jane went on: “He’s gorgeous and he brings so much joy not just to my life but to all the family.
“And to see Tony and Wendy now being grandparents is just the best thing for me to watch.”
