Kym Marsh breaks down over dad’s terminal cancer
Kym Marsh broke down in tears while discussing her dad’s terminal cancer battle while appearing on Morning Live on Thursday. The 47-year-old struggled to hold it together as she was joined by her parents David, 73, and Pauline as she hosted the show with Gethin Jones.
The trio watched a pre-recorded clip visiting The Cavern Club in Liverpool to hear Kym’s daughter Emily sing on stage. Kym opened up and expressed: “I wouldn’t want to see anyone else go through this. I get more emotional than my dad does, he’s so strong it’s unbelievable.
“We know we’ve got to that point where they can’t do anything else for him, and they said ‘Go make memories with your family’, and that’s very much what we’re doing.”
The Waterloo Road star said her father passed down his love for music to her daughter Emily as they watched her perform and she got emotional.

After watching the emotional clip, David and Pauline joined their daughter in the studio to discuss how he’s doing.
David said: “It’s daily, one day I’m alright and the next day I’m bad, that’s the way it is now, just have to live with it.”
