Nigel Farage and Nella Rose lead I'm A Celeb stars landing in Australia for show as severe storm 'threatens camp' | The Sun

FORMER Brexit Party chief Nigel Farage has arrived in Australia ready to take on ITV’s very own house of Pestminster – I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Now a media personality, the outspoken star, 59, has just landed at Brisbane Airport, confirming his appearance as this year's big political appointment after weeks of rumours.

Nigel's typical cheeky grin wasn't on show at first as he walked through arrivals, followed by campmate Nella Rose a few hours later.

Speaking with crowds the politician confessed he “lapsed on being teetotal” on the plane with a G&T.

Having a swifty or two could have been to calm his nerves, having admitted he’s "terrified of everything in Australia".

Bosses are said to have hammered out a deal that is reported to be worth up to £1million in the hope Farage will grab the same amount of headlines as shamed ex-Health Secretary Matt Hancock who turned out to be a stand-out contestant.

But Nigel hasn't reached out to Matt for some last-minute advice.

Instead the 59-year-old has been connecting with young people on TikTok, telling fans he'll be using the platform to reach out.

He told The Sun: "I can't confirm I am doing it [I'm a Celeb] but I might be.

"I just think there is a big young audience out there that watches the programme which are worth talking to.

I’m A Celeb’s Ant McPartlin arrives in Australia as line-up is revealed

"I have been messing about on TikTok for the last few months and you would be surprised a lot of young people out there are interested in what I have got to say."

His contract keeps him from confirming his place, but The Sun revealed Nigel will join the full I'm A Celebrity 2023 line-up in camp this weekend, with politicians, influencers and daytime stars being thrown into the nation's most famous camp.

A TV insider said: “Nigel has been at the top of the wish-list for I’m A Celeb bosses for years.

“They’ve offered him a huge fee as they know he’ll drive up viewing figures. Ant and Dec will love this signing.

“Nigel’s the ultimate Marmite character after his time on the Brexit frontline and won’t hold back in camp discussions.”

Social media queen Nella Rose was next to arrive in Australia – and clutched her phone as she headed through the airport.

Nella, 24, will need to hand in her mobile before entering camp but grinned as she was spotted in Brisbane Airport today.

She is the youngest contestant to appear in this year's series and has a million followers on TikTok, almost 800,000 subscribers to her YouTube channel and 892,000 on Instagram.

Nella, who was last to emerge in arrivals after the flight, took her time to spruce up after the long haul flight and looked amazing.

She served up a fierce ath-lesiure look in big, black sunglasses and a trendy bmober gilet.

Remaining coy about her jungle stint, Nella insisted: "I'm just here for a holiday. I came for the rain."

She is originally from Belgium but is now based in London.

Bosses are hoping she will connect with millennial audiences and pull in younger viewers to the show.

She has previously hosted Catfish UK on MTV.

Ant and Dec will welcome the latest stars brave enough to tackle stomach-churning bushtucker trials and terrifying challenges on Sunday November 19.

And this year's show is set to be one of the best yet with twelve top names from the worlds of Westminster, Albert Square and even the MasterChef kitchen.

ITV appears to have upped the ante on its famous Bushtucker Trials too, with The Sun’s exclusive footage showing the Walk The Plank challenge has received a devilish makeover.
