EastEnders fans will be strapped into an emotional rollercoaster on Thursday evening, with Ravi Gulati, Stacey Slater and Gina Knight all going through testing times.
Episode spoilers for 28 September tell us that broken Ravi is a shell of his former self as he keeps scouring the streets for Nugget, while Denise Fox lets her hatred of Ravi get the better of her when talking to Denzel Danes, leaving him deeply upset. An understanding Jack Branning suggests to Denise that she go away for a few days and shut the world out.
Meanwhile, Ian and Cindy Beale make the ill-advised decision to go to The Vic to celebrate their new chapter, but the sniping soon starts with George Knight and Elaine Peacock.
The cacophony soon dies, though, with the furious Gina sharing a revelation that silences the room.
Elsewhere, Martin Fowler and Kat Slater rally around Stacey, who's at a complete and utter loss over how to deal with twisted stalker Theo Hawthorne.
She arrives at the realisation that she may have to call on the whole Walford community for some support.
In separate scenes, an excited Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson can't wait to receive the keys to their new pad, with the added anticipation of being visited by the fostering department next week.
This comes after Theo actor William Ellis revealed to The Sun that his character's behaviour has inspired a "sometimes quite harsh" reaction out in the real world.
"I was on a flight to Ibiza six weeks ago when the storyline kicked in as Theo might be grooming [Lillia Turner's alter-ego Lily Slater], and I was flying on my own. In very good humour, I was called a 'nonce' by various stag parties and hen parties behind me," he shared.
Despite their heckling, though, William looked on the bright side and took this exchange as a "real bonus".
"People are talking about the show, there was no bad feeling, but it just meant that you're part of something so big and part of a show that is so canonised."
Earlier this week, former EastEnders star Danny Dyer (who played Mick Carter until sensationally exiting the soap last Christmas) declared that he'd "had enough" of the show and this influenced his decision not to renew his BBC contract.
"The first few years we f***ing smashed it. It was powerful s**t. The viewers listened to us more than these f***ing c**** politicians. I was blessed with some amazing storylines, some s**te ones as well. They f***ed it up towards the end. It's a shame it had to come to an end but I'd f***ing had enough," the 46-year-old confessed.
Taking aim at various unnamed co-stars, Danny continued: "I've worked with a lot of actors that are c***s, very selfish, it's all about them. You need to look after your other actors. It's about teamwork and looking after each other."
And yet, the nine-year EastEnders job essentially saved his career.
"I had made too many bad films and I was reduced to going to nightclubs and waving off the balcony in places like Kidderminster," the actor revealed.
"I couldn’t put the kids through school anymore. I had f***ed it and then I get a call from Dominic Treadwell Collins, who asked me to come down and meet him at The Langham hotel and I had just about enough petrol to get there!
"It changed my life and it changed my f***ing career as well."
EastEnders airs at 7.30pm on BBC One
