Krishnan Guru-Murthy on his ‘minor concern’ over heart condition
Krishnan Guru-Murthy could see an early exit from Strictly Come Dancing after he opened up about his health on Good Morning Britain.
Krishnan is one of 15 celebrities taking part in the BBC competition this year, and on Saturday he made his debut on Strictly with his dance partner Lauren Oakley.
However, when speaking to Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley, Krisnan opened up about a “minor concern” about his heart.
While he said he needs to “be careful”, it won’t stop him from giving it his all on Strictly.
“There is a concern, isn’t there, Krishnan because you do have a hearty condition?” Susanna asked as he replied: “A minor concern.”

He went on: “Yes, I mean, I’ve got a genetic heart condition…it is in the family and it just means I’ve got to be a little bit careful about getting into the red zone of your heart rate.
“It doesn’t mean I can’t go to the gym and it doesn’t mean I can’t dance.”
Richard chimed in: “But your heart rate can’t go beyond a certain level for too long.”
“It’s not that it can’t but if it stays high for 10 minutes,” Krisnan answered before Lauren added: “None of our dances are longer than 10 minutes.”

The bookmakers have also been coming up with their own predictions about which celebrity will win the 2023 series.
They have also given odds on who could be booted from the competition first – and it doesn’t look good for Krishnan and Jody Cundy.
Ladbrokes latest odds claim Jody and Krishnan both have odds of 50/1, making them the outsiders of the competition.
While Bobby Brazier and Angela Scanlon are currently the frontrunners to lift the Glitterball Trophy with odds of 3/1 and 4/1.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
