Brit wanted for 'assaulting man eight years ago' arrested after touching down in Cyprus for holiday | The Sun

A WANTED British tourist has been arrested after touching down in Cyprus for a holiday.

The unnamed holidaymaker was detained by cops at Paphos Airport over an assault on the island eight years ago.

He was arrested on Monday after being detected during passport control and spent the night in police custody.

The tourist had an arrest warrant out for him since 2015 following a fight in Paphos.

Cops allege he had been involved in a scrap and had beaten a man up, reports Phile News.

He jetted back to the UK before an arrest warrant was issued.

The Brit is due before the District Court of Paphos today.
