1000lb Sisters: Caleb writes Tammy a heartfelt poem

1000lb Sisters made its eagerly awaited comeback to TLC with season five, and alongside excitement viewers also felt bittersweet.

After entering a rehabilitation center in the previous instalment, Tammy Slaton had shed 450lb and lost enough weight to go home.

While she received a standing ovation and was celebrated for her milestone, the emotional goodbye to her husband Caleb Willingham left fans haunted.

The couple both met as residents at the facility and tied the knot during the season four finale, but sadly Caleb was not approved to leave.

During the episode, Tammy broke down in tears and after loads of hugs and kisses, she headed home, even though she wasn’t sure when they would see each other again.

As @Str8NoChaserrr_ added: “Watching this knowing Caleb never came home is so sad.”

Elsewhere @just_BRI_happy recalled: “Caleb just said he’d follow her anywhere, even if it was haunted.”

At the time, he was unable to leave the facility for safety reasons because he hadn’t lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery and was unable to get his trach removed.
