Coronation Street: Tim is attacked by Stephen
Coronation Street star Lisa George, who plays Beth Tinker in the ITV soap, won’t be appearing in this week’s Super Soap Week.
It comes as the actress revealed her scenes had been cut after she contracted Covid while filming.
She explained how the illness had swept through some of the cast and crew while they were filming for the important week.
“I got Covid, so I got cut from the scenes,” she stated.
Speaking to The Mirror, she continued: “I was gutted as I really liked the scenes as well, it was Super Soap Week and there was a sudden rush of Covid and we were dropping like flies, and unfortunately I got it as well.”

Lisa went on to address rumours her character would soon be making an exit from the cobbles.
The speculation began after the actress talked about having her contract renewed and named a few shows she’d like to be a part of if she wasn’t in the soap.
She told the publication: “I’ve got a new contract.
“It’s really weird, everyone was saying you’re leaving, you’re leaving.

“I was asked about my contract and I said I was waiting, and so they asked what I’d like to do if I didn’t get one and I said Call The Midwife.
“That’s all I said it was a passing comment then the next thing, everyone is ringing me like, ‘You’re leaving, you’re leaving’.”
The big week on Corrie began on Monday night, and fans were stunned as it seemed as though Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) might become killer Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) next victim.
Tim was left for dead in the boot of his own taxi and had started dousing the car in petrol.
