I'm an interior design pro – I made my Ikea dressing table look expensive for cheap with fall decor | The Sun

YOU don’t need to splurge on expensive furniture to make your home luxurious as proven by one interior design expert.

It can be challenging trying to recreate the most beautiful homeware trends spotted on social media without overspending.

However, Kai (@herstylediary) has revealed her secret to achieving an expensive-looking abode on a budget.

She has racked up over 74,000 followers on TikTok where she shares her tips for styling the home.

She took to the social media platform to reveal how she transformed a cheap white dressing table from Ikea.

Ikea’s Malm table costs $169.99 and is also available in different sizes.

“How I make my Ikea dressing table look expensive,” read the text over the video.

She showed the process of adding a white vase with fresh flowers and a Greek statue bust on top of the dressing table.

She then placed a gold oval-shaped dressing table mirror in the center alongside a selection of fragrances on small marble trays.

Kai added a smaller glass vase with tiny flowers, a decorative candle, and fragrance sticks.

She included the hashtags #falldecor, #beautyroom, and #homedesign.

The post went viral with almost 13,000 views and thousands of likes.

One person commented: “Love your mirror! Where is it from?”

Another wrote: “Wait… the chair!”

A third chimed in: “What’s the name of that table?”

A fourth said: “This is so cute.”

The post came after Kai had previously shared with her followers the process of transforming her bathroom into a powder room.

She placed a selection of her cosmetics onto small marble trays similar to those used on her dressing table.

A small lamp and a vase with flowers were also added to the predominately white room.
